Hosanna, Loud Hosanna
This hymn was written by Jennette Threlfall a century and a half ago. If you had known Jennette, you might have pitied her, because as a child she was orphaned and as an adult she suffered an accident that rendered her an invalid. But the people around her knew her, not for her handicap, but for her cheerful nature. She was a woman of deep faith who expressed that faith through her poetry. In her song, “Hosanna, Loud Hosanna,” she invites us to celebrate again the coming of Jesus into Jerusalem in his Triumphal Entry.
